Reseach Into Deer Genetics And Environment (RIDGE) Was Founded in 1992 by Clark McGhie alongside several branches of the Australian Deer Association (ADA).

The RIDGE Group started out with one main objective in mind, to provide a central organisation committed to the study and implementation of sustainable wild deer management in Queensland and ultimately Australia.  In essence the organisation serves to resource and improve wild deer management in Queensland and throughout Australia for both landowners and hunters alike.
